Along with about 35,000 other members of the public the BrisKites crew attended the opening of the Ted Smout Bridge.
The only difference is instead of walking over it we paddled under it.
Taking off from 19th Avenue in Brighton we paddled to the bridge and then across to the other side. The water is a little chilly this time of the year but perfect condidtions on the bay ensured the trip was spent high and dry.
